On low vegetation at edge of hardwood forest. Uncommon pattern on abdomen.

Helophilus obscurus.
I am identifying this as the first Helophilus obscurus... female on BugGuide. Note markings on tergite 2 very rounded on inner margins. Note markings clear and well separated on tergite 4 and 5. Note two basal segments of antennae black, third segment red. Hind tibia partly black.
