Is this a female Helophilus fasciatus? According to the sexing info on that species page, a female has 4 yellow stripes on the abdomen.

Definitely Helophilus (note diffuse pterostigma on the wing). Hard to get this genus to species, and usually requires a forward shot of the face. Nice!
