Corylophidae? - Orthoperus

Corylophidae? - Orthoperus
Ames, Story County, Iowa, USA
March 1, 2007
Size: 1 mm
I am rather proud of this pic... it's not 'Tom Murray quality', but I think it's pretty decent considering how tiny this was... he decided to stretch the wings out in this pic...

collected with some rotting wood... quite numerous in my gladware container... I probably have a couple dozen I could get together for a group shot... seems to resemble Orthoperus... can anyone verify this?

almost same like mine
Photo#204979. Size should be less than 1mm long? There are long marginal setae on the transparent wings for my microbeetle. However, setae can be only seen under microscope.

Yes
Corylophidae. Don't know genus. I just shot a new one that I may post tomorrow.

it's safe to move to the Orthoperus page
