Gorgeous, huge spider on fence. The diameter of the rectangle (on the wire) is 2"x4", so this beauty is HUGE! - Argiope aurantia
Piney woods between Lumberton and Silsbee, Southeast Texas, Hardin County, Texas, USA
August 29, 2014
Size: 3.5" x 7.5"
I was out checking on my cats and dogs when I found this gigantic spider on one of the fences. It is so beautiful! I have seen lots of big spiders in my lifetime, but nothing like this. It stayed another day then disappeared. I guess it didn't like the attention. Please tell me all you can about this spider. Thank you!
