Long-legged spring crane fly - Tipula rossmani

Long-legged spring crane fly - Tipula rossmani
Fairfield, Wayne County, Illinois, USA
March 25, 2007
This one stood out from the crowd due to its spread.

Moved
Moved from Tipula.

Let's hope this is
the native Tipula dietziana , instead of the introduced European species of Tipula oleracea or Tipula paludosa which have been reported to cause problem in lawn and golf courses. - Chen

I didn't collect
this individual - and there was only one that I identified. I have imaged the ones you will received and will upload them once you've had a chance to handle the merchandise. :)
