What a nice picture! I remembered it and noticed a couple of possibilities yesterday when I was looking through the Micros for mysteries of my own.

Have you considered Xylesthia UID's or Hodges #0336 Amydria obliquella? It looks darker than the A. obliquellas posted, but looked similar in pattern to me.

I would be interested in what YOU were thinking.

I thought the same about #0336, but its range is a little west of northeastern Oklahoma. Another similar moth is this unidentified Xylesthis. It's lighter colored, but the tail pattern matches better and (I am guessing) it was found not far from here.
