Great Caterpillar - Cucullia convexipennis

Great Caterpillar - Cucullia convexipennis
Reisterstown, Maryland, USA
September 17, 2004
I think this is in the Nymphalidae family. Anyone have any ideas?

THANKYOU
Thank you sooooo much!!!!
Is this one poisonous?

I have one in my bugbox, time to update my bio!

Noctuidae
Maybe the Brown-hooded Owlet caterpillar, and if so, the adult is sometimes called the Brown-bordered Cucullia moth. But maybe there's other similar-looking caterpillars?
