Orb Weaver - Araneus diadematus - female

Orb Weaver - Araneus diadematus - Female
Snoqualmie, King County, Washington, USA
October 7, 2014
Size: 13 mm
I had to go through this creature's artwork to back my car out of my garage one morning. Fortunately, it survived so I could take it's picture when I returned two hours later. I'm sure we are looking at a cross spider, Araneus diadematus. Probably a female from the size of it, but I can't be sure. My size measurement only goes to the mandibles and does not include the palps.
