Goldenrod Crab Spider - Misumena vatia - male

Goldenrod Crab Spider - Misumena vatia - Male
Seattle, King County, Washington, USA
April 1, 2007
Size: body 5mm
I found this little (guy?) on one of my violas that I'm about to plant. It looks like the female White-banded, but there look to be some "boxing" gloves. The angle isn't really that great, though.

Moved
Moved from Crab Spiders.

Moved
Moved from Whitebanded Crab Spider.

Moved because on reviewing the Misumenus, Misumenops, & Misumenoides key, I'm not so sure it the White-banded. I'll have to see if I can find it again and get better "face" shots.
