Large Dragonfly - Aeshna umbrosa

Large Dragonfly - Aeshna umbrosa
Bullitt County, Kentucky, USA
October 14, 2014
Size: 3.5 - 4 inches?
Usually don't catch these big dragonflies resting. It was cool out and overcast so that may have helped. Later it was flying non-stop over our koi pond and I got a blurry image. It was very cooperative so I have numerous images - I will upload several. Is it in the Darner family?
