Mating Bumble Bees - Bombus pensylvanicus
Wolf Trap National Park, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA

After gorging on Tithonia nectar they mated. I believe these are Bombus pensylvanicus, though it is late in the year for queens. The B. auricomus male doesn't have these markings. But I am no expert.
