Sawfly - Acantholyda floridana
Fort Bragg, Cumberland County, North Carolina, USA

I found this sawfly on the neighbor's carport. I thought it was a beetle since I'd never seen a sawfly before. After sending this in for identification, I learned that this may be the first recorded sighting of this species in North Carolina.
