Callicera johnsoni var. auripila Metcalf 1916. J. Elisha Mitchell Sci. Soc. 32:112. Present status: Callicera erraticum (Walker)
Presumably nominate subspecies of C. johnsoni is now included in C. erratica as well.

Range
Includes southeastern United States, though nowhere common.
