Bombus possibly pensylvanicus on Tecoma stans - Bombus pensylvanicus - male

Bombus possibly pensylvanicus on Tecoma stans - Bombus pensylvanicus - Male
Mission, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA
October 23, 2014
Size: large
Several of these large elongate bumble bees were working the large yellow flowers, darting in and out. Possibly males? I was lucky enough to capture this one image. Bumble Bees of NA, Williams et al, lists only two bumblebees in Hidalgo County, B. pensylvanicus and B.fraternus. Only B. pensylvanicus has the black scutellum. Is this the correct identification?
