Not good pictures, but I hope it can be at least ID'd to Genus. It looks like the Laphria in the guide, but the darker brown hair on the thorax is different. When I found it, it was looking into nooks and crannies, even crawling into some, and spent lots of time hovering next to a few spiderwebs. I wonder if it was hunting spiders? The abdomen was very shiny, and I left when it started to investigate me rather closely. (I didn't know if I was bothering it, or if it was just attracted to my dark clothes).
