this little lovely larva...
... was given to me by a local friend. I will have to ask about where it was found.

 
Update:
My friend said this larva was found on the floor in an old shed/garage. My first guess was that this larva came out of a muddauber wasp, or paper wasp nest, since I have found these nests in my own old shed/garage. So I typed in 'wasp larva' in the BugBuide search field and found this very similar wasp larva:


A possibility?
