Chloropidae, brachypterous - Lasiosina
Broken Kettle Grasslands, Plymouth County, Iowa, USA

Sweep in a Loess Hills prairie remnant

Moved from Frit Flies.

It is probably the same as the other brachypterous Lasionina in the guide.

I finally got an image of a live one.
I'm sure I kept it (I'll know this winter) and hope to sometime send a couple of these off to someone who would be willing to ID further (in exchange for the specimens).

Chloropid specialist
In case you haven't found him already, Terry Wheeler is willing to look at chloropid specimens.
