White-marked Tussock Moth caterpillar - Orgyia leucostigma

White-marked Tussock Moth caterpillar - Orgyia leucostigma
Block Island, Washington County, Rhode Island, USA
July 10, 2014
A White-marked Tussock Moth caterpillar, Orgyia leucostigma, I believe. Found feeding on our blueberry bushes.

Bug ID
If you are certain of the identification, you can add the bug directly to species page rather than doing an ID request. Go to species page, I often use "search" to help find the page of interest. Click on the "Image" heading and then on "add image. Complete form and submit.

Will do.
I had wondered if there might be a more efficient process. I assume that such submissions still get checked to ensure accuracy?

My experience
has been that the species are checked by experts since I've had a couple of mistaken species IDs corrected.
Also if you are confident after input from an ID request, you can click "tag" and move to appropriate level or species. Only you or an expert can move your image.

Great. Many thanks.
