"I respectfully disagree this
"I respectfully disagree this is a Wadotes. (Hint: pale ventral side, round abdomen, great distance between PME, way too many spines underneath the legs)- Simeon Indzhov

Maybe ...
Cybaeus giganteus.

I had noted on the first ...
image in the series it was tentatively placed. I don't know about the particulars at the moment but it is still the closest match I see for it (unless he had a better suggestion?) - still a lot of things out there I've never seen. If I move it back to family, or worse entelegynes and another comes in that gets placed to species this one will be hard to find again. If it stays here and it turns out to be something else when a new one with a firm ID turns up I or another editor might look at it and think "that reminds me of Wadotes, I wonder if there are any of these misfiled there" and find this one and move it. If I find the time I'll try to remember to take another look at it.

I still have to read ...
up on the few that are in range but Cybaeus looks possible. At least the spacing of the eyes looks spot-on to this one. A. ferox is similar too but I passed on that one for several reasons that it looked bit off on, legs a bit too stocky, can't make out the pattern on the abdomen.

I will try
Tomorrow to locate the image on my computer and see if I have another image of the pattern or lighten this one. Thanks for your time Laura. Your devotion is very much appreciated.

I didn't mean ...
that there was anything wrong with the image, I meant that your spider just doesn't happen to have much of a pattern on the abdomen - the images look clear enough.

And thanks, I haven't felt very devoted lately, I wish I was getting more done.
