Quinoa Leaf Aphids - Hayhurstia atriplicis

Quinoa Leaf Aphids - Hayhurstia atriplicis
In Westwood - elevation 5100ft, Lassen County, California, USA
July 29, 2013
I planted some Quinoa seeds in my garden this year, and they grew just fine except for a minor aphid infestation on some of the leaves.
The aphids stayed primarily on the underside of the leaves, and caused a downward leaf curl, as shown in the photo. Quinoa is in the goosefoot family Chenopodiaceae.

One of those aphids is shown below:

My thanks for any further ID help.

Not many aphids host on Quinoa!
Only three aphids that we know of host on Chenopodium quinoa, and looking at those little siphunculi and fairly long rostrum, this is Hayhurstia atriplicis. Love it when I can actually ID an Aphid to species from images, rare treat!!! I also went ahead and linked all three of your images since they were individuals in the colony, and that is helpful with aphid ID.

Quinoa aphids
What are the other 2 species of aphids that host on Chenopodium quinoa?

Thank you Natalie!
The source host plant for these aphids is most likely Chenopodium berlandieri, a persistent weed in my yard. The leaves of the two species are very similar; but the seed heads are a bit different looking.
