white-spotted orange moth - Virbia

white-spotted orange moth - Virbia
Lake Corpus Christi, San Patricio County, Texas, USA
March 18, 2007

Moved
Moved from Virbia fragilis.

Jen Zaspel (author of the Virbia genus revision) agrees that this is most likely V. rubricundaria. V. fragilis does not occur in eastern Texas. I'm moving this to the genus page, since it's hard to be 100% sure of the ID without a hindwing shot.

Probably 8125 - Holomelina fragilis
