Hamataliwa grisea

Hamataliwa grisea
San Ygnacio, Zapata County, Texas, USA
March 10, 2004
Was going through some old pics from a trip to S. Texas. Don't really remember this spider per se. Sorry about the poor quality. Can anybody do anything with this? Feel free to frass this.

Not
unca, but still great. A very nicely marked grisea. It would be nice to find one like that in my area.

H. unca is recorded even futher south in TX, from Hidalgo and Cameron Counties, and is a light colored species, more similar in appearance to H. helia.

nice
I'll keep an eye out for unca next time I'm in the LRGV. Thanks again.

This
is great. It may very well be Hamataliwa unca. If so, all three NA members of the genus will be represented on Bugguide!
