range description for Exoteleia chillcotti

I notice on the Info tab for this moth that the range is listed as Louisiana. However there are photos posted from Alabama up to Ontario with a lot of states in between.

yes the page needs work!
Check back later.
Thanks!

Possible Errors?
Maury - Could you take a look at the images from locations north of Virginia? They all seem to match examples at BOLD that are part of the Exoteleia pinifoliella species complex. Do you have descriptions for these?

You might want to take a look at the comments here.

Edit - Not so sure even about the Virginia and Tennessee examples. Compare Mark's BOLD example of E. pinifoliella to Marcia Morris' example of E. chillcotti.

descriptions for these moths - Eastern Forest Insects
Around page 391 of the .txt version of this book are descriptions of the various species of Exotelia.

thank you for the link
It appears that the E. chillcotti is described in Louisiana only in this publication whereas E. pinifoliella has range from Canada to Georgia, so the examples of Exotelia I have posted for Virginia are more likely E. pinifoliella; however, there are examples of E. chillcotti for Canada and the east coast listed at MPG, that this species was formerly listed as Coleotechnites chilcotti. Do we need to place the two species on a page that holds both species as with Desmia funeralis and maculalis ?
