Chilopoda (Centipede) - Scolopocryptops

Chilopoda (Centipede) - Scolopocryptops
Plymouth Rock, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
May 23, 2014
My first photos of a centipede, at least in recent times. 23 pairs of legs and antennae segments are at least partially broken off at 15 and 17 segments.
Found while pulling and digging Garlic Mustard in a weedy partially wooded limestone ravine.

Scolopocryptops
Scolopocryptops is right. Most likely S. sexspinosus, but could also be S. rubiginosus, which is found only in the Midwest.

Moved for expert attention
Moved from Centipedes.

Thank you.
If I collect a look-alike in the future, is there a visual way for me to determine the difference between the 2 species? Or a specific photo that I could take so that you could determine the species?
