Distribution maps say this is not a West Coast Lady. Can an expert confirm from the photo? If yes, would anyone care that it occurred here?

Butterflies through Binoculars The West shows them at least a state away. Butterflies and Moths website has them right at your border: http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species?l=1771

While I'm no expert, I've shot a fair amount of West Coast Ladies and would say your ID is AOK.
