corrected; sorry, i should've been more cautious
this is a female, and now i see a series of male pics of same you've posted earlier

Moved from Odontocorynus salebrosus.

Moved tentatively
Moved from Baridinae.

I may
have to just give up trying to figure out weevils.
Thanks.

well, the baridines are a nightmare
but they're still among the cleverest and cutest weevils ever, right?

please please pretty please keep collecting and photographing them

Sorry, I meant
I should give up spending so much time trying to ID weevils when you folks at BG are so good at it. And fast.

I can't imaging giving up curiosity, and the search for the little life I've never met before.

ha! i can totally relate to that: psychology vs economy
to me, too, it's a dilemma whenever i see some funny fly or wasp posted on BG: should i follow my bliss and waste half an hour or more figuring it out myself, or just subscribe, sit back, relax, and spend my time more efficiently doing what i do best? 'cuz all too often someone would move it to the right place in a matter of minutes anyway...
and on too many occasions when i just feel lazy i simply wait for the indefatigable Yurika to nail some pesky nymph or stuff nobody else is willing to touch with a ten-mile pole

ha!
you need to put that in your memoirs.
