Planthopper Parasite Moth larva - Fulgoraecia exigua

Planthopper Parasite Moth larva - Fulgoraecia exigua
Montgomery Bell State Park, Dickson County, Tennessee, USA
September 11, 2014
Size: 6 mm
This crazy little ball was crawling around on leaves in deciduous woodlands. The outer coating was wooly and plush and left a white residue on your finger when touched. This image shows the head protruding to the lower left.
