Araneus bispinosus - female

Araneus bispinosus - Female
Burton Mesa Ecological Reserve, Santa Barbara County, California, USA
January 20, 2015
Size: ~9mm head+body
Found in sandy Burton Mesa chaparral habitat; I finally got some cooperative adult females, looking at the epigynum all of multiple individuals I think that the whole lot I've been posting are Araneus bispinosus rather than A. montereyensis. If clicking on the image for an enlargement doesn't work, I can re-post tight crops of the epigynum.
