Apologies for crap quality, still getting used to low depth of field on my new lens.

best guess is a nymph of Neotettix proavus
but with this quality of image, I can't be fully certain.

Do you have an email contact or otherwise?
The actual photos are far clearer but bugguide screws them up when I upload them.

Hi James
You can email me. Click on my name in the message above and the email address is there.

Hi David
What particular details will be the most useful in this circumstance considering I only have dorsal views?

Hi James
The most helpful details tend to be the sculpturing of the head, and views from above, in profile, and from the front can be helpful. However, the resolution on these particular photos is not clear enough for me to see what I need to see. Also, often, details of the legs can be helpful, especially of the middle femur in side view.

Nymphs can be terribly hard to identify, but it's got more to do with lack of information than anything else. likely, if enough nymphs of known identity were compared, it would become much easier just by the familiarity and knowledge gained. However, I'm not familiar enough yet with most Pygmy nymphs to do much more than guess on a lot of them.

I suspect that this one was a nymph still.
