Moved from Unidentified Leaf Mines.
Where I live, I would call it that, but farther south there are other species that make a similar mine; e.g. Coptotriche concolor is recorded from DC. It looks like Q. acutissima would be a new host record for any of the possible species.
I'm working on the key to oak mines right now, as it happens...
