bethylid? - Pristepyris - male

bethylid? - Pristepyris - Male
North Bethesda, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA
September 30, 2014
I think this is a bethylid rather than a myrmosid: the antennae look too thin for the latter. Also, the ridge at the front of the thorax and the wing venation makes it look more the Guide’s images of bethylids. If I had to guess at an ID, I’d pick Pristocera but I’m hoping that the wasp experts can save me from my guesses. Thanks in advance for the help.

I suspect you're right about the genus. Others will be able to say for sure.
