Mantidfly - Leptomantispa pulchella

Mantidfly - Leptomantispa pulchella
Pinellas County, Florida, USA
February 13, 2015
Size: .4 inch-ish

Moved
Moved from Mantispinae.

Everything points to Leptomantispa pulchella: small size; relatively smooth upper edge of giraffe-like pronotum, with the characteristic short, well-distributed hairs seeming barely perceptible; "banana & chocolate" marbling of pleura (though paler than usual); lack of tricolored antennae; relatively small number of "wishbones" on the distal half of the trailing edges of the forewings (looks like 5 or maybe 6 per forewing, but hard to discern exactly because they overlap).
