This springtail was extracted from pine litter under a Southern Florida Slash Pine using a Berlese Funnel. I was unable to measure it, but I am guessing it was about .75 mm.

Thank you Frans.
I wish I could have taken a better photograph of this one. It was quite small and I lost it in my sample before I could measure it and take additional photographs. It had a lot of setae around the base of its head, along the thorax, and along the abdomen, especially at the abdomen tip. The furcula was short and shaped like a fish tail. The last segment of an antenna was much longer than the others, broad in the middle, and pointed at the end. There seemed to be distinct paired sets of darker scale patches along abdominal segments 2 through 4.

I hope I can find another individual in the sample of pine needle litter I am examining.
