I took another look at this and matched it as species,
Acronicta ovata
. Nice addition.

Dagger Moth -- Acronicta sp.
... in the 9243-9251 group of species. The photo appears to be a little too rough/grainy to allow (at least by me) for precise identification.

Agreed
Even with the grainy picture, I'd say it's a good match for
Acronicta increta
, # 9249 the Raspberry Bud Dagger moth. There's a good comparison photo
