This one was photographed back in 2011. I believe this is a syrphid fly; but I may be wrong.

From Bill Dean for similar flies: "At the base of the wing, the cell before the humeral cross vein is darkened, contrasting with the rest of the wing. This is specific to E. dimidiata."
