Anthaxia
A friend of mine just visited Gainesville and collected several of these little Anthaxia. When I get them Id'ed I'll let you know Sean. Great pic!

Did you ever put a name this
Did you ever put a name this one Josh? I have several individuals I collected in IA that I'm pretty sure are the same as the one above. It comes out to Anthaxia viridicornis (Say) in the simple key I have right now, but that could be wrong. I'm looking for a better key right now.

No I haven'y been able to yet
No I haven'y been able to yet. I posted a pic some time ago of A. viridicornis tho, its black and the sides of the pronotum are red. Rick says he thought this could be a form of A. quercata. Nadeer and I are not sure. Ted MacRae may have an idea to the id.

...
Thanks!

beetle
this seems identical to one I posted
