Coyote Canyon, Anza Borrego Desert, San Diego County, California, USA
March 6, 2015
Size: ~ 10 mm
Found on brittlebush several miles up the canyon near the creek. Help with identity would be much appreciated. I thought tentatively that it might be A. retifera.

Moved
Moved from Acmaeodera.

...first Acmaeodera of the season?
This is Acmaeodera vernalis. Once called A. flavosticta, that name now refers to a species restricted to Baja.
