Broad-headed Bug? - Dicyphus discrepans

Broad-headed Bug? - Dicyphus discrepans
Seattle, King County, Washington, USA
April 21, 2007
Size: 6mm
I chased this little guy all over the Hazelnut bush it was in. It's abdomen was distinctly thickened at the end (looking at it laterally). The shrub it was in was California Hazelnut - Corylus cornuta var. californica, growing in the alley behind my neighbor's house.

I vote for Miridae.

No.
Not Alydidae, but that said, not sure where to go instead:-) I suspect either: Miridae, Lygaeoidea, or, longshot, Nabidae. I'll try to remember to check my references this evening.
