Bernard Field Station, Claremont, Los Angeles County, California, USA
March 9, 2015
Scurrying quickly along the ground in an area of recovering sage scrub mixed with non-native grasses at the Claremont Colleges' Bernard Field Station. It did not want to stay still for a photo. Any information will be greatly appreciated!

Moved tentatively
Moved from Beetles.

subgenus Chrysostigma is moved to genus Calosoma
in the North American catalogue by Bousquet (2012), thus changing the earlier Erwin classification. I'm not calling for change at BugGuide. Just wanted everyone to know. Anyone who wants to maintain taxonomic consistency at BugGuide is free to update the entire Calosoma group according to Bousquet 2012. I'm sure others have commented on such inconsistencies which are time consuming to straighten out.

nothing to discuss, in my opinion
Peter Messer, being an editor, can just go ahead and make changes as he sees fit
i planned to do so at some point but this group in nowhere near the top 1,000 items on my to-do list
