Meadow Sawfly

Meadow Sawfly
Mountain Meadows Reservoir area next to Westwood, elevation 5050ft, Lassen County, California, USA
May 27, 2014
Size: Body length 7mm
This little sawfly was just one of several that I saw flying about within the meadow and marsh weeds adjacent to the reservoir.

Any further ID help is appreciated - Thanks!

Thank you Ken!
I did a little browsing and think this sawfly 'might' be Eutomostethus luteiventris, see here: (1). It is certainly a good visual match; and the host plants, juncus (common rush), does grow within the marshy meadows.

Looks like a good possibility.
If so, it'll be our first specimen from CA.
