Scatopsid Thunderstorm Erotica?

Size: 2.5-3.0mm each
Found two pairs of these mating on my blinds... I can't help but wonder if the passing thunderstorms are triggering this... seems like a bit of a coincidence that I would see 2 pairs of these mating (within inches of each other) when I've never seen them before...
