well...
after creating a species page, I lightened your photo on my hard drive for a better look at the details.
I now think yours looks more like Jim Vargo's photo of
E. semifuneralis
than
ostricolorella
. Compare both species
here
. Root Collar Borer has more reddish color beyond the PM line, and lacks a subterminal line, whereas American Plum Borer has more pale gray/whitish color beyond the PM line, and appears to have a diffuse subterminal line - as in your photo. See more pics

I would have to agree. I've started routinely lightening my images prior to upload so we shouldn't have to run into this more than a couple hundred more times this year. :(
