Mite
Aldergrove, British Columbia, Canada
April 4, 2015
Size: .23 mm
From the leaf litter (twigs and bark) sample I collected last Nov. 22 and stored in a Ziplock container. They're not dead yet, in fact there are still half a dozen or more species doing quite well. I photographed this one on April 4. Hopefully these three sets of images give some life to the subject matter.

Unfortunately, there are no ventral views. I have yet to advance to that skill set. My previous attempts have not turned out well for the critters, but I'll work on it.

As you guessed, one needs a ventral view!
