Springtails?
Barton, Orleans County, Vermont, USA

Under the bark of dead sugar maple. Looked like fleas to naked eye but surprised me in computer. White specks are collapsed like pupal cases or something like that. We'd love to know what these are. Thank you so much.

White specks are shed skins.
