Confused on this one... - Orchestes alni
Richmond Hill, York Region, Ontario, Canada

Size: 2 mm
Inside the house, crawling up a windowpane. At first glance, I thought this was a flea beetle - it had the highly swollen femur of a flea beetle and jumped actively like a flea beetle. But then, I noticed the elbowed, club-tipped, weevil-like antennae. On a flea beetle? Never seen anything like this, and I'm confused as to where in the guide it should go...

Moved from Beetles.

Rhynchaenus, jumping weevil

Totally overlooked it
Ah, so it is a weevil. Interesting how it shares such a similar mechanism with the flea beetles.
Thanks for the ID.
