Bibio sp. - Bibio articulatus - male

Bibio sp. - Bibio articulatus - Male
North Bethesda, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA
April 21, 2015
Of the species in the guide, this looks (to me) most like Bibio fraternus. The inner spur on the front tibia looks to be at least as long as the outer spur which should rule out B. xanthopus and the legs look too light to be B. femoratus. That would still seem to leave a lot of Bibio species that aren’t in the guide. Is it safe to conclude that this is Bibio fraternus or is it stuck at the genus level?
Thanks for the help.
