Bee Fly - Bombylius major - female

Bee Fly - Bombylius major - Female
Seattle, King County, Washington, USA
April 28, 2007
Size: approx 10mm
The measurement is excluding proboscis. Found on leaf of Himalayan Blackberry in alley behind my house. I tried to get a shot that shows the wing markings as well as venation, but this was the best I could do.

Moved
Moved from Bee Flies.
