chalcid wasp - Aulogymnus

chalcid wasp - Aulogymnus
North Bethesda, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA
April 27, 2015
Size: ~3mm
I’m not sure if this is a pteromalid or a eulophid. It appears to have 4 tarsal segments which would make it the latter but these aren’t exactly the greatest photos.
Some help would be much appreciated. TIA

It's a Pteromalid…
The tarsi in your image are five-segmented, though it may be difficult to see these segments clearly.

See reference here.

thanks
is the fourth segment small and almost inseparable from the fifth in this photo?

Exactly...
The fourth distal segment is the shortest, length-wise, even shorter than the third.

thanks again!
If I find another one, I'll make a better attempt at getting photos of the legs. This is the first and only chalcid I've found.
