Water Measurer - Hydrometra martini

Water Measurer - Hydrometra martini
Whitney, Ontario, Canada
July 3, 2003
Size: ~ 5 mm
I realized there were no images of Hydrometrids for Canada, so here's a specimen. Not a good specimen, but at least it can put Ontario, Canada onto the map until a better image shows up. This must be Hydrometra martini Kirkaldy, since the Hydrometridae are represented in Canada by only one species. It is also one of the more common North American Hydrometra species.
