Ichneumon wasp cocoon - Hyposoter
Medford, Jackson County, Oregon, USA

Size: 5mm
Cocoon was found on a walnut leaf. The withered host larva can be seen rising vertically from it. The cocoon and a portion of the leaf it was attached to was placed in a glass vial and stored indoors until the adult emerged.
